Zombies ate my Neighbors (Sega Genesis)
How does the Sega Genesis version stack up to the Super Nintendo Masterpiece?
Home stretch, the third episode for Halloween Month and probably no surprise to anyone who visits the website, we’re reviewing Zombies ate my Neighbors; a quintessential run and gun shooter on both the Sega Mega Drive (Genesis) and the Super Nintendo.
A big thanks to Mike from the USA for the game donation (mentioned here in a LOCR update). This was the first donation we’ve ever received on the LOCR and it’s been a real blast making the first ever donated game review as big as possible. It’s such a cliche to say that without donations, this channel couldn’t exist, but I will say that without donations or support, this channel wouldn’t be quite as good. All the positive (and negative) comments, likes (and dislikes) and of course, those brave souls who put up with advertising–. It really all benefits the show.
There’s not a lot about Zombie’s Ate my Neighbors that hasn’t been covered a million times before by far more talented videogame reviewers (muwhaha), so game review wise, I consider this to be one of the weakest in the Halloween line-up but I wanted a great game to build some narrative around. Ordinarily, we try to cover some pretty obscure games on the Leftover Culture Review, it’s sometimes nice pulling out a legitimate classic.
Halloween month has been a fantastically taxing undertaking and I can see the toll it’s causing on my videos lengths. I’ll be making up for it as best as possible for the next review, so stay tuned for the thrilling conclusion of… Halloween Month.
