Atari Jag-Ware Catalogue
Was this actually fashionable at some point? I’ve got no idea.
The Atari Jaguar made a splash as Atari’s final console, and to celebrate, they released a whole bunch of gaming swag! This Atari Jag-Ware Catalogue was included in one of my Jaguar lots and it’s packed to the brink with radical 90’s gaming gear. I thought I’d share it, it was seriously a nice surprise and I can’t help but find the whole thing a little charming. It’s as goofy as it was radical and makes an awesome pamphlet to flip through between loading. Just click an image to enlarge.

Was this actually fashionable at some point? I’ve got no idea. This was America in the 90’s. The Atari Jaguar itself wasn’t a very popular system but I can’t help but love the aggressive design on the marketing material and game box art (with the exception of Brutal Sports Football). Atari never shied away from pumping out crazy, radical advertising both in print and video. Selling the Atari Jaguar took some real creative thinking. And this, Jag-Ware Catalogue is a great pack-in booklet for the most radical gaming console ever made.

If you’re after some more Atari Jaguar promotional catalogues, Atari Age has a whole page dedicated to it! I didn’t see this particular Jag-Ware pamphlet there (possibly because it doesn’t contain any games). I can’t help but pick this up whenever I’m feeling a little uninspired and I can honestly saying having this as a table-book in the games room constantly reminds me of that dorky, 90’s aesthetic I totally love that continues to define the look for the Leftover Culture Review.
